They call it Super Bear. The supplier Neapco developed a novel wheel-motor that also houses a two-speed gearbox. It’s remarkably compact, fitting inside a 16″ wheel. And it’s powerful, generating 1,880 lb-ft and 100 hp at each wheel. It opens up all kinds of packaging freedom for commercial delivery vehicles all the way to exotic hyper cars.
